NPR's Farai Chideya interviewed Russell Simmons and Navarrow Wright about their new Web venture - GlobalGrind.com. This segment runs about 4 minutes:
The interview runs about 38 minutes which is long even by the standards of Fresh Air. In a subsequent posting I'll link to Artie's previous appearance with Terry Gross which in some ways is even more interesting then this interview.
Among the more interesting takeaways for me is the idea that advertisers could review the Flu Tracker Map and then turn around and purchase Google Key Word advertisements promoting a particular flu remedy in states where the incidence of flu cases has risen.

Tonight I put some thought into the theme of the major assignment students will complete in AVIS 180 this winter. My sense is that I will give students a choice between two themes. I am still thinking through the second theme. The first is a lock: A fictional electric car manufacturer.
Turns out there are a fair number of companies trying to make a go of it in the electric car space including: ZENN, Reva, and Tesla.
